R.I.P. Philip Seymour Hoffman what the fuck.
I always liked him in stuff.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
He had undergone treatment for drug addiction in the past, and spoke in interviews about “falling off the wagon” last year after remaining clean for 23 years.
23 years. Geez.
Seriously. I had no idea. You never really "recover" from addiction, do you.
In a completely selfish reaction - I don't think he was done filming "Mockingjay ptII".

Nope. You're always an addict; you're just a sober one.

So he managed another 23 years of life and work than he might have. That's good.
Still sad, of course, but these kind of thoughts make me feel better.
I'm with -t. Bless him for the well-fought battle.
It makes me sad to think that anything, or anyone could have toppled him after so long clean.
I sometimes wonder about a plumber in my neighborhood who has 30 years clean but EVERY day talks about how he's just one fuck up away from oblivion. He proudly states that he has never, ever taken a vacation that was not to an NA convention.
I tended to think he just has a flair for the dramatic. I will, from this point forward, take him more seriously.

Not according to IMDb, no. I wonder what they'll do. Hasn't been a good few months for actors not dying mid-movie.
Ugh, so sad.
That's so terrible. His poor kids.
RIP PSH. DAMN!
