Festivids (the annual vid gift exchange for rare fandoms) this year is ridiculously full of riches with some amazing movie vids.
Y'all should totally check out this Great Gatsby vid, which is one of the best edited videos I've ever seen. And this Lego Star Wars (!) vid about trials and tribulations of being stormtroopers (!!), which made me laugh until I cried.
Vidders! How so talented??
I so adore and fangirl vidding! But if I were ever to get into it, I'd also have a problem of How So Free Time??
I miss vidding. I only ever completed 2, and now I don't have the time anymore.
I've got lots of ideas for vids but don't have the time to hunt down clips or the software to pull them off DVDs.
Veronica Mars tickets go on pre-sale on Valentine's Day.
Vidding is tough. I tinkered with the notion for a while (went far as clipping and trying to lay down the clips on a timeline) but the learning curve was just way too steep and my tech know-how was too poor. I mean, you can do it with persistence, but it's apparently a huge time-suck and many of the seasoned vidders I know are fond of saying what stupid an hobby vidding is (but they say that with affection.)
I hope someone has done a Dean Winchester vid to Veteran of the Psychic War. It was written for him.
While I'm glad Tom Hiddleston didn't get the part of Thor, I'm very glad he auditioned for the part of Thor. And I'm glad the Internet has shown me that audition. Very glad.
