I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I saw that Sandman news yesterday, and was...kind of perplexed.

I thought the barrel scene in The Hobbit was hilarious.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Looks like they issued a correction for that article, JGL will produce, not direct.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

With amych and Suela on the desire for a single-movie Phantom Edit of the whole trilogy. That would be wonderful.

I loved the animated Hobbit growing up. It lead my 8 year-old self to find and read the book and started my life-long love of fantasy. I haven't watched it recently, though I still have fond memories of that movie's version of the songs from the book. (The Greatest Adventure, not so much. And I recall the elf song in Rivendell being annoying.)

The weird mutant wood elves bugged me, though.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I don't recall the animated Hobbit beyond a vague memory of seeing it and the overall look of the thing, but when I read this,

And I recall the elf song in Rivendell being annoying.

I thought, "Thorin would agree." Doesn't he complain in the book about the elves singing too much? I'd go check the text but Franny has been taking it to school to reread it.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I saw that Sandman news yesterday, and was...kind of perplexed.

I looked up the writer on IMDB, and am very perplexed.

I kinda figured it was destined for Tim Burton

Speaking as a Tim Burton fangirl: DEAR G-D, NO. Do not let him near Sandman. I love Tim Burton, but he's SO not a good fit for that material.

Guillermo Del Toro would be a great director for a Sandman project.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Guillermo Del Toro would be a great director for a Sandman project.

He would be perfect.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Guillermo Del Toro would be a great director for a Sandman project.

Oh, how much I want this now.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

But he has to make the Haunted Mansion movie first. Because my movie needs take priority, obviously, and I'm wary about the notion of Sandman movie, anyway.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I'm wary about the notion of Sandman movie, anyway.

Yes, this. And which storyline? Even if it's just drawn from Preludes & Nocturnes - that book is so complex, you could make a full movie about, say, the Dee storyline alone. (Though, hey, if they use that, Cillian Murphy could make a cameo.) Director-wise, I think Jamin Winans [link] would be a good choice.
