She was actually pretty awesome in the Fast & Furious movie, though I think she's a bit too slender for the Diana role.
I agree, but she'll bulk up. As many have pointed out, pretty much every superhero casting has been "Really?" followed by "OKAY I SEE NOW" by the time the movie actually comes out.
The clip on io9 is not the one I would have chosen; plenty of better short scenes from the movie to show how badass she is.

Pete made the comment that the snippet shown from F+F didn't give any indication that the actress could act; I pointed out that with Zach Snyder directing, it didn't matter. He conceded the point.

I have a hard time envisioning a woman bulking up for a role unless she's playing a fat girl or a serial killer. Sadly.

I'm rewatching Velvet Goldmine for the first time in a really, reallllly long time, and it just struck me that when it came out, I never would've imagined in my most feverish fangirl dreams that the opening montage would one day read as Batman falling instantly in love with Henry VIII. And how ridiculously perfect that kind of is.
And that's even before Obi-Wan shows up.
