I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Asgardians = Aesir. I don't think they ever said "Aesir" in the movies.

Yay Norse mythology! Thanks for bringing that in. I like "Aesir" so much better than "Asgardians," which just sounds like someone watching over the booty if you say it out loud. Which is also a time honored activity, but still.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Tep,

I saw the first movie! Apparently I excised it in total from my memory.

Hey. New board.

I love Lorde. More than I have loved any new-to-me musical artist in ages. I don't love that song in any version, however, and don't really think there's enough Lordeness to overcome that for me. Too much of what I like of her sound is in the lyric, perhaps.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That scene from Thor 2 you want to watch again and again.

I'm going to be a naysayer and say I thought Thor 2 was really, really stupid. I thought the characters all wanted macguffin things for plot reasons, and I really didn't care about any of it. Also 9/11 imagery and fake language. Yawn.

Also, also, it has one of my most hated tropes: your penis has saved my vagina life, so my vagina is open to you now.

I did like the funny bits, and I thought Hiddleston and Elba were the best part of the movie.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Most of the comedy bits had me rolling my eyes, but that may have to do with my tolerance for Darcy/Kat Dennings falling from slight in the first film to nonexistent in this one. Was I the only one hoping "Mew-mew's" flight path would take it through her at some point ?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Derailing the Thor conversation briefly to hyperventilate over this.

How did I not know this was in the works?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

How did I not know this was in the works?

I just shrieked. Oh, please, she's my favorite villain ever, please don't screw this up.
