Interesting. It seems like the trailer focused much more on the moral conflicts Cap might have with SHIELD, rather than the actual Winter Soldier. Maybe they're holding that for later.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
think I'm actually more excited about it than I am for the new Thor movie
Me, too--possibly because I have not that much interest in Loki, myself, and Thor II seems to be mostly about big battles & explosions. A conflict about the uses of power and secrecy is more my speed.
The plot is supposed to be similar to 1970s political thrillers like 3 Days of the Condor. Which explains a little about the casting.
And Falcon! That's his name, right?
Awesome, Tom!

I do like Loki, and I love big battles and explosions, but, yes, conflicts about uses of power and secrecy good.
WINTER SOLDIER HOLY SHIT.
Was that the Helicarrier crashing? Jesus.
(Do we have to whitefont trailer content?)
Also, has Redford aged, like, 200 years in the past 20? Props for not getting Denis Leary amounts of plastic surgery, but...his face is very craggy now.
HA, Steph, my friend made the exact opposite comment, about his not aging in the last 20 years. He does look craggy, I agree. But I think that's for the role? In the still I saw of him for All Is Lost, he looked fine.
And -- "Before we get started...does anyone want to get out?"
BAD. ASS.

I feel like he was on the cover of Esquire or Rolling Stone in the past 6 months, and looked insanely craggy. t edit Yeah, Esquire: [link] He looks like Willem Dafoe there. It's freaky.
Granted, the man DIDN'T age for about 50 years. No criticism of the aging process here.
Robert Redford is 77.
His maid must have found the portrait and thrown it out.
