Has anyone seen the trailer for the Carrie remake? If so, why did they appear to have changed the blood dumped on Carrie into oil?
Would you know where to get a bucket of blood for a practical joke?
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Yes.
Do tell.
It's red, it's just not cheapo fake red, you know? And it's definitely red on the poster, so.
It totes does not look red to me, but I am on an iphone

At the butcher's/carniceria/other ethnic meat marts.
Why? Is it supposed to be hard to find?
A bucket of blood is a lot less red than you think it is.
I was kind of tickled by Tower Heist, but maybe I just needed a laugh really badly that week. That happens sometimes.
I read an interview where Sissy said she was so into the role that they could have used some real kind of blood (they used the fake karo stuff) and she wouldn't have minded, and in the course of filming thought the karo was probably worse because it was so horrifically sticky.
ETA: about the original movie.
Wouldn't have been a trip if they'd gotten Sissy to play her own mom in the remake?
Karo syrup really is horrifically sticky, though. Much harder to get out of your hair than blood.
