YAY!
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
apparently, I am VERY excited.
I'm leaving now to see the Cornetto Trilogy.
TAKE ME WITH YOU.
I had nightmares about the red bull for YEARS after watching The Last Unicorn. That movie is fucking terrifying.
I don't even remember what happens in the movie, only that it was emotionally scarring.
I have never seen that movie!
I have never seen that movie!
We own it! And I've emotionally traumatized Matilda with it several times.
To this day, TLU still remains one of my favourite movies (and books). Marred only by the horrible singing (not including the several tracks by America, those were great).
Beautiful animation, achingly tragic and bittersweet and haunting. The Red Bull didn't scare me. Neither did the skeksis in The Dark Crystal.
Loved Cat and Molly Grue and the skull.
Sounds like TlU should be on my "must see" list.
The Horses of the Hobbit.
