Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

A visitor had a gigantic Transformers sticker on their car. We bonded over 80's cartoons. The child that I was sure insisted that the sticker be put on his car was not six but nineteen, hah! The dad then strongly encouraged me to watch the new Wolverine movie. I love my genre geeks.
