Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

There is more or less no plot.

That is slightly disappointing.

It's 2.5 straight hours of giant robots punching giant monsters in the face. And it was AWESOME.

But that is promising.

Highly recommend seeing in IMAX 3D

I am!!

My arms are sore from all the fist pumping I was doing when the giant robot punched the giant monster really hard.

Yaaaaaay. I don't know, I was just complaining about movies that rely too much on action sequences that should be exciting but end up being really boring (cf. Man of Steel), but action-action-action still works if it's full to the brim with badassery.

Compassionately intolerant

Hunnam is definitely British. A Newcastle tough guy.

In interviews, he doesn't have much of an accent.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I just realized I was getting Hunnam mixed up with Heath Ledger? Weird.

What more plot does one need than that? Space Giants and Godzilla vs. Megalon were formative experiences of my childhood!

Now I want to break out my MST3K all Gamera collection.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The way I described it on Facebook was, imagine if the Gandalf v Balrog fight went on for about an hour, and Gandalf were a giant robot. And happened twice.

Throw in about 30 minutes of exposition and technobabble, and BOOM. Movie.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm blaming my mestrual cycle for wanting to cry watching the trailer for Planes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I think this is my current favorite line from a movie review:

Like “Mrs. Dalloway” and “Ulysses,” “Grown Ups 2” unfolds entirely within the span of a single day; in this case, the last day of school in a small Massachusetts town.

Always Anti-fascist!

I actually did laugh at "Grownups", but I can't imagine anyone would think there were unattended plot threads or anything.
