I loved the book and liked the film. I loved Juliette Binoche's acting, but didn't love some of the changes made from book to film. Not enough Kip.
I liked the book much more than the movie. The book was more about how the injured patient affected everyone around him, while the movie was too much about the title character.
This is why I've never seen the movie -- I could tell that the things I liked best about the book wouldn't be there, or would be changed too much.
I've been sitting on my Netflix disc of Happy Feet for some time now, putting off watching it. I might just send it back tomorrow after seeing what y'all are saying about it.
Not enough Kip.
Haven't seen English Patient, but since my brother's name is Kip, this made me doubletake!!
Not enough Kip.
Naveen was very good in the role, though.

Peter Falk has advanced dementia, and has had his affairs placed in conservatorship.
The temptation to make a "One more thing..." comment is strong right now, but I suspect it won't come together cause it's patently inappropriate.

For my part erika, I would think it was hilarious, were I in similar circumatances. Or, I would have when my mind worked, but probably wouldn't get it when it didn't.
Yeah, one of the perils of a catchphrase, I suppose.
Guess he got off cheap compared to say:
Judge Tells Piven Family to 'Hug It Out, Bitches'
I really do hope the Falks aren't still fighting about that, though...makes a tragic time sadder.
You know, I am really amused that one little movie has caused a forty-year-old fandom to be reborn. And has gotten me into a show I never cared about checking out before. Energize!
