I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Vonnie, what about the other medical stuff in Bourne: Jeremy Renner? Was it all total bullshit?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Well, viral vector is often used for gene therapy. But aside from that, the whole blue pill / red pill thing and the concept of "viralling" to lock in the enhancement seems like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me. I don't know enough about that particular field so I was happy to handwave the whole thing.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Beasts of the Southern Wild. IDEK. Shit was bananas, yo. What did I just see????

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The premise of the medicine of Bourne Legacy that I can see from the ads is that they're doing genetic manipulation on him. In my head, that sort of thing is a breeding issue--what's the logistics of what they're doing in an adult? Or did they start early?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I saw it about a week ago. I can't make up my mind as to whether I loved it, but I thought it was extraordinary. The narrative was meandering and the pacing was odd, but I thought it worked very well as a fable. My favourite scene was the one set in the floating crab shack / brothel, which was so saturated with tenderness and longing, it quite took my breath away.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What the fuck. 'Top Gun' director Tony Scott dead after jumping off bridge. I liked a lot of his movies.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I feel really badly for him and his family. Especially his poor family.

I know, what a shock. Also, just imagine how many of them found out from Internet news reports. Ugh.

Vonnie, I definitely agree with your assessment of that scene.
