I saw it about a week ago. I can't make up my mind as to whether I loved it, but I thought it was extraordinary. The narrative was meandering and the pacing was odd, but I thought it worked very well as a fable. My favourite scene was the one set in the floating crab shack / brothel, which was so saturated with tenderness and longing, it quite took my breath away.
I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.
