If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

DKR is not in 3D, so even if it sells the same number of tickets, it will make less money. I don't think it has a chance in hell of beating Avengers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My ticket for tomorrow morning is costing me $18.25. I'm pretty sure I did not pay that for either of my Avengers tickets. Nolan may have a plan.

Why are people talking about an extended release of Avengers? Has someone on the Avengers side finally said something about it?

Hey. New board.

A more interesting question, perhaps, is if it will beat The Avengers' opening weekend record. It IS playing on a lot of IMAX screens (332, a huge record apparently) which can rake in pretty enormous cash (it's over twice as expensive at my local theater) and help offset the 3D difference. I almost want to see it in IMAX despite generally thinking it's not worth it, because 70+ minutes of the movie were actually filmed with IMAX cameras. And though I don't think it will hold as well as The Avengers, since lots of people saw the avengers in later weeks when their nerdier friends assured them they would definitely like it and it was a lot of fun, it definitely has frenzied anticipation from the opening-weekend type.

There's a rumor, that's all. Nothing official.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

As ita says, in the choice between cheerful and gritty, I'll take cheerful.

Yeah, that's my feeling as well. Not that I'm not seeing TDKR this weekend, but I doubt I'll see it again in the theater.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The rumour I read was definitely sourced by nothing official, and at the time no one associated with the movie had ever said anything about it--just a web outlet had said something like "Wouldn't it be nice if we could have this? They would make money if they did this."

But I keep seeing it have legs weeks later, and I can't tell if it's become more real.

Then again, nothing dies on the internet, other than Eddie Murphy.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I vaguely recall Joss saying that he believes that the movie you put in theaters is the director's cut, and that there wouldn't be an extended version (though the DVD will have scenes that were cut).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I thought that rumor was already accepted to be bullshit.

My ticket for tomorrow morning is costing me $18.25.

Daaaamn, that's more than my IMAX ticket for tomorrow evening.

AND I HAVE A STUBS CARD.

So, no surcharge for online purchase. Just pure highway robbery, and I did not look at the price until days later, because what was I going to do? Not go?

I was like, $17.75 for IMAX? WITH fees? But...Inception was awesome in IMAX! And I never saw TDK in IMAX! So...let's splurge.

Javi doesn't seem to have liked it from what I caught of his vaguely spoilery post, but his issues seem to be similar to Jessica's, regarding morals and politics. I just want a good movie, man.
