I need to find someone to go to see TDKR with me. CJ and friends are seeing the trilogy, which means I'll have to pick them up when it is over. Would be much easier if I were already there seeing the most recent one. But K-Bug has other plans for the night and I don't have any other movie buddies.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I was reading an article about Batman Begins, and I remembered that the Batmobile is the Tumbler. Except now I can only think of the Batmobile as a fandom GIF repository. (Batman Begins [2005] predates the launch of Tumblr [2007].)

I am very amused. That's so meta, it's very nearly perfect. I haven't looked yet, but I assume there is more than one Tumbler Tumblr.

Relatedly, holy FUCK, it is going to be really hard to stay unspoiled this week. I can't even read any early reviews, because I can't exactly imagine any review NOT talking about the inevitable Big! Giant! Bat-Details of the movie. DAMN IT.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yeah, apparently you need to avoid the Guardian review in particular. Spoils about 70% of the movie.

Daaaaang.

This is going to be a long goddamn week.

I'm not all oversugared!excited for DKR like I was for Avengers, but I really can't wait. And I seriously hope Bane's dialogue is intelligible.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

And I seriously hope Bane's dialogue is intelligible.

From the few reviews I've read, NSM.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

So, like Brad Pitt in Snatch, then?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

That could make for a somewhat hilarious movie.

Bane: GRRRR MUMBLE

Batman: Say what?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently the Hollywood Reporter just walks you through the movie, so avoid that too.

Since no review is going to alter my actions related to seeing the movie, I am not even feeling tempted to read any. I made a conscious decision to stop imbibing the Avengers juice in anticipation but all I'm feeling right now is impatience for it to be fucking Friday. Jesus.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

But wasn't the point of BP's dialogue in Snatch to be incomprehensible?
