Oh, no, oh, no! Spontaneous poetic exclamations. Lord, spare me college boys in love.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ha, that was great, Vonnie. And, yeah, I'd basically agree with your assessment.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hey, check out our friend Andy being interviewed on Spiderman! [link] Andy and his wife Heather are our best friends here in L.A.--we go to the movies with them almost every week. he's incredibly devoted to his job. He sounds cool and collected in the interview, but he sweated blood over those web shooters.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I just got back from seeing "A Cat in Paris." It's one of the most unusually gorgeous animated films I've ever seen, with backgrounds and even some of the animation done in pastel. I honestly want all of the backgrounds as posters.

Two caveats - the hand-coloring on the animation jitters in a way that might be problematic for people who have steadicam issues. Also, I might not recommend taking very young children to see it.

Fun fact - Steve Blum, aka Amon from The Legend of Korra, voices one of the main characters. Anjelica Huston voices another.

Ooh, Beverly, I'm so glad you posted that, because I hadn't clicked on the Buffy one, thinking I had seen it -- but no! I saw the Firefly one! Good times.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Did they shoot two films at once, like they planned to?
