Now, this would be the perfect time for a swear word.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So why does this one push you to never believing and Captain America didn't?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm not sure. Skinny Steve was sure amazing and freaky. I'd have to rewatch, but as flawless as skinny Steve was, these guys seemed moreso. Or maybe it was that there was more of them. Or maybe it was the whole movie had me a bit creeped out, and that just took the cake.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Apparently a sequel has been greenlit.

We were wondering about that. I did like that there wasn't really romance in the movie. On the "true love's kiss" thing, I liked that the Huntsman actually knew her, unlike anyone else.

Charlize Theron, who I normally love, was chewing every bit of scenery she could find. I laughed out loud at some of the more dramatic bits.

Me too! In the best way. Also at the very end, K-Stew looked like she was about to say something a couple of time, but then just did that mouth thing she does instead, and I laughed out loud. With joy.

I have to say, the movie, with it's negation of any romance, did seem to be open to a sequel that explicitly explored romantic possibilities. But also the universe it set up also left possibilites of world healing to explore.

But if they continue to ignore romance, I'm going to get Hunger Games levels of annoyed.

Hunger Games book spoiler (I'm still irked that the deciding factor was a suspicion of one lover being involved in the death of a family member. That felt like cheating just to get that shit over with.)

Is there a reason the story/universe needs romance?

I'm laughing my ass off (and worrying about the state of the human race) reading a thread on IMDB about SWatH, where the OP states that KS needs breast implants to improve her.

My vote would go to a procedure that transplants affect instead.

The instant I saw the singing, dancing zebra in the rainbow wig I thought "that's possibly the most annoying character to listen to on earth. Toddlers will LOVE it!"

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Yeah, it was going to be hard for an R movie to beat the kids movie.
