You're talking about the Natasha in the pushup bra with the zipper partway down?

I gotta say, that was the one thing about Natasha in the movie that really cheesed me off. She's got Kevlar body-armor in that jumpsuit (I assume), and shrapnel flying everywhere, and she can't be bothered to pull up her zipper? Bah, I say.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And it would have felt so right to me if she had just pulled it up for battle, and back down for comfort after, you know?

Totally.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She is the same Black Widow whose hair fell into her face any time it seemed like they might want to sub in a stunt double, so it's clearly not all about practicality.

(I saw some footage of ScarJo working out, and I'm wondering why even make it look like there's doubling, then? They don't have to!)

Thrive to spite them

Will and I saw Snow White and The Huntsman tonight. I really liked it. I kept thinking of Kristen Stewart as "Bella" which I knew wasn't fair, and once I told myself Bella would have probably stumbled and broken her ankle, and lay in a heap waiting to be rescued I got more into it.

Charlize Theron was over the top and in a good way, I'm not sure there was any other way to play that character.

The special effects were really good and I liked that Snow White was really a hero and more than just being rescued. I also liked that there was no real romance. There was William and Snow White, but the most "romantic" part was The Queen as William. And the Huntsman's kiss revived her (which I liked as well) but not so much I felt out of romantic love, but out of for who she was. I guess. He sounded like he was still in love with his wife. At the end I thought they would explicitly show Snow White with William or with the Huntsman and I was glad they didn't.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It comes to my attention that some of you may not be aware of the National Theatre Live broadcast to cinemas (list here) of the Frankenstein that sold out and won all the awards.

Tonight I saw Benedict Cumberbatch as the Creature and Jonny Lee Miller as Frankenstein. Tomorrow (at 7 pm local time), they'll be in the reverse roles. According to Tumblr, some theaters got the other casting tonight: hell if I know.

I will say, and I cannot emphasize this enough: it is a phenomenal production and if you possibly can go, you should.

Which is Cast 1 and which is Cast 2?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I've not seen them listed that way. Tomorrow was listed as "reverse" here, which is Miller as the Creature. I would assume that that's Cast 2.
