I was meh on Haywire.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Spend 45 years watching people shaped like you get rescued by action heroes, and you'll be pretty damn grateful for Gina Carano...
They're making RED 2? That is fabulous news.
yay yay yay!
Gina Carano's not a good actress, but luckily she shares space with Channing Tatum.
Uh?
Basically, if I want to see a recent female kicking ass movie, I'd pick up Hanna before Haywire. But it's worth seeing so you know. Her fight scenes are damned solid. It's the bits inbetween that...enh.
I really need to see Hanna...
ita, did you see all of Hanna? Or just the scene at the container dock? Cuz that movie was BORING.
Cuz that movie was BORING.
Okay that's just pure unfiltered crazytalk. Hanna was great!
It was perhaps a bit slow, but I thought it was very good, something different, although it could have been better.
Oh my goodness, it was like an escape scene straight out of Run Lola Run followed by 50 minutes of wandering around southern Europe. And then a mustache-twirling gay villian shows up, there's good scene at the containers, and then too much that happens at that INSANELY CREEPY clown house. MAMA DID NOT LIKE.
