I totally saw them but didn't make the connection. I just thought, "Way to be DRAMATIC, Joss."
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Odin and his ravens: in the long shot when Thor and Loki are standing on the mountain, two ravens fly past. Odin keeping an eye on his boys.
Saw that, bounced a bit in my chair.

Oh, man, missed that.
Saw and loved The Avengers. Although I would have liked some more character development for Hawkeye. And a little one-on-one between Captain America and Hawkeye would have been nice, if you know what I mean .
My favorite moment? Probably when Hulk and Thor got the power stance shot together -- and then Hulk sucker-punched Thor . Beautiful misdirection, and perfectly in character . Although it was nice to see a comic-book movie exhibit a sense of humor, just generally.
And Consuela, thanks for linking those vids. I heart Black Widow sooo much.

The creation of this movie was probably most pointedly made possible by the success of Iron Man, so I figured they had to keep going in that vein.
I heart Black Widow sooo much.
Me too! And the vidder intends to remaster that BW vid after the dvd comes out! Yay!

Awesome. And I love that song, too. scampers off to buy the Dessa single
I wish they'd cast someone as Black Widow with better physicality, and also tightened up the continuity with the stuntwork. Why is ScarJo's the only stuntperson I explicitly noticed? Is the market that tight for female talent that it's harder to match her than *all* of the guys?
Part of me grumbles and thinks it's because BW's mettle is undervalued, but whatever. I shouldn't have noticed that. Again.
So apparently, Loki's use of the term "mewling quim" has offended some people. And also, "He's adopted" offended some people as well.
Then there is at least one person who thinks Captain America ‘tips’ Nick Fury because he’s black.
Spoilery. (Also, URL is spoilery for a phrase used in the film.)
