Yeah, I noticed the smile this time too, but I hadn't gotten to your roommate's interpretation. Aw. Also, Cap is basically falling asleep, which is funny but mostly to cover his facial hair.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Also,
I didn't realize there was a practical reason; I found it funny and fitting since Cap asked Thor if he needed a nap during the battle.
I saw it last night and missed the second scene! I was fooled by the lights coming up and my friend wasn't as fangirly as me so I didn't want to push to stay until the end. Feh.
One of my favorite moments was when Cap said Take away the suit, and what have you got ? and Stark replies Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist and Black Widow just sort of nods and her expression says "Point."
I was hoping that we would see Coulson in the hospital at the end, that Fury just said that he was dead to rally the team, but then I remembered it was a Joss movie, so he really was dead .
The other thing about Bruce at the very end is that he's got to be the least exhausted of the bunch.
Black Widow just sort of nods and her expression says "Point."
Heh, yeah, I caught that too.
As for Coulson, it was a studio-mandated kill, but maybe he'll come back as a ghost or a cyborg or a clone or something.
I finally saw Cabin in the Woods ! And who turns out to be sitting in the row ahead of me but Jon B and the FAQ Wife!
It is so a movie you don't want to be spoiled for.
I saw Avengers for the second time this afternoon. The theater was ~85% full at a 4:25 matinee, which seems pretty good for a second weekend.
I had to walk out of my showing due to Frisco, but that one and the two precious had sold out at our closest theater.
I also saw Avengers for the second time this afternoon. Theater was ~80% full at 3:15 on a Sunday afternoon. Pretty good. The folks in front of me and behind me had not seen it before. Folks in front thanked me for alerting them to the two extra scenes. They were an older couple and I was tickled at how totally into it they were.
In addition to all the moments you all have mentioned: I loved when Thor was fighting Hulk in the aircraft bay, and he held out his hand for Mjolnir and...waited...and you hear thump thump thump THUMP BANG and then you see that the hammer has just blasted through walls and large amounts of stuff to get to him. That was a cool little moment. Mjolnir is a character in its own right, imho.
I could use a little thump thump BANG, if you know what I mean.
