Spoilery Avengers interview answer (don't mouse over).
io9: Are you worried about perpetuating the "Joss Whedon kills your favorite character" stigma, with what you did to Agent Coulson in The Avengers?
Joss Whedon: In our first meeting Kevin Feige said, this is what we're gonna do and I said, "Oh but you have to go out there and tell everybody that it was your idea because this is going to get me so much shit. Because they are all going to be like, "Oh he did it again!" It was stipulated from the beginning, and I completely agree that it was the right thing to do, and so did Clark. Who said in the early days, when I was busy apologizing for it, "In a movie like this, with what's going on if there isn't some toll, it's just irresponsible story telling."
So there's that. Heh.
I saw the Austin Powers movies but I was never really moved to see them again. Although Ben and S. do the whole "schmoke and a pancake" bit a lot. And, you know, the sharks with frigging laser beams on their heads. I did love Seth Green in those.
Pretty much same here. I did used to quote some things, including; "Try the Hot Pockets, they're breathtaking" and "Bring in ze CLONE!!!"
The Addams Family isn't really campy.
The joy in those movies for me is everyone around the Addams is doing the fish-out-of-water thing and the Addams are being as kind as possible to all the people who just don't get it.
Weird-brain!Teppy wanted to see Cap deal with an iPod. No -- with ANGRY BIRDS on an iPod.)
There needs to be a third after-credits scene of this. And Hulk playing with an iPad.
To steal Teppy's idea from a couple hundred posts back, I want the Hulk to be good at it.
On the other hand? I would like a hulk sized iPad on an easel in my office.
I am mildly nonplussed. Apparently the distributors of
The Cabin in the Woods
originally intended to send it straight to DVD in Australia: [link]
It will now show at exactly two cinemas (one of them in Melbourne).
Boooooo, lamesauce. That movie is so much more fun in a theatre!
They should release it as a double-feature with The Avengers and bill it "by the director of The Avengers and starring Thor!"
Oh, boy: The Avengers' yearbook photos:

Heh.
That sure is one impressive mullet.
Oh my God, Jeremy Renner's hair.
