Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

I hated the idea of the character of Austin Powers, so there was no way to redeem the movie for me.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

sigh ... I loved the original Dark Shadows when I was a teenager and it was new (black and white TV!). I did fall away towards the end when I couldn't figure out what was going on. I even watched when they tried to do a new version (in full color!). But this ... I was so hopeful when I first heard about it, but all the ads I'm seeing make it look like they're trying to hard to be funny.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Matilda is fascinated by the Dark Shadows billboards and commercials.

Every time the ad comes on, she asks us to come in and look at "that vampire boy."

See, that shows good taste on her part!

(I so need to go trick-or-treating with her and Tickybox dressed as little vampire minions. We would get SO MUCH candy.)

I am starving for shwarma, and may have to get some before work tonight. Or at least a gyro or something mediterranean. Maybe Ro Ro's, but it sounds like they're extra busy these days.

Hey Sean! Do you remember getting a Spider-Man foam hand for me at the premiere of (I think) Spider-Man 2? I still have it, and it is coming out when I go see The Amazing Spider-Man. You betcha.

Nobody noticed when I wore a JLA shirt to the Avengers movie.

One of the friends we saw it with specifically bought a Hydra shirt to wear to the movie. Just to be contrary.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Heh.

“Well, not all of us are in the same weight class so it is hard to say between Hemsworth and Evans. I think they’re pretty evenly matched. I think it would go to the ground. Then I think it’s me, Ruffalo, and Renner in a quote-unquote three-way in which I lay waste to them with sleeper holds but then we cuddle. And then it is Hiddleston versus Johansson if I am not mistaken. That probably just winds up in dinner at a five-star restaurant somewhere."
