You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Off to see Avengers soon! I'm super excited! And holy heck! How did I not make the connection that Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth (Gale from Hunger Games) are brothers?!

From Phillip Island, my favourite local vacation spot and home to FAUNAPALOOZA!

Spoiler alert: Phillip Island makes no appearance in this movie. Would it have been improved by the addition of penguins? I don't see why not!

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

Hee! The theater manager came into our theater after the fist credits scene and asked if we wanted to forward to the second scene. Everyone voted yes, and five seconds later, we were laughing like loons at the second scene! That movie was SO GOOD!

They didn't play the second scene at my showing! Very disappointing. (I've now watched it on YouTube.)

Two other comments:

1. "Dost thy mother know thou wearest her drapes?"

2. Loki reminded me of no one more than the Master, especially Anthony Ainley's Master.

billytea, the second post-credit scene was filmed after international release, so only those watching in North America got it. Sorry.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Marvel Comics mash-up "The Avengers" launched the summer movie season with a $200.3 million opening weekend domestically, by far the biggest debut ever.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

$200.3 million opening weekend

Holy crap. See ya, Harry Potter.

Joss has to have people lined up to bestow sexual favors and/or gold-plated chocolate upon him right about now.

Daaaaaamn. (I still don't know how they make up these numbers before Sunday is over, but they seem to be pretty accurate since the adjustments are generally pretty slight.)

1. The Avengers $200M
2. Think Like a Man $8M

So the Think Like a Man projection didn't change from last night, but the Avengers went up by $15 million. How does that happen?

Like I said, all that IMAX and 3D money adds up. Plus a huge number of theaters. But daaaaaaamn.

Joss has to have people lined up to bestow sexual favors and/or gold-plated chocolate upon him right about now.

Right now all I want is for them to lock him into the sequel.

That's a given. All they have to do is build an igloo out of gold bullion and back it up to his house.
