Simon: I, uh... I never-never shot anyone before. Book: I was there, son. I'm fair sure you haven't shot anyone yet.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Um, I didn't know "The Avengers" has already been released overseas! Holy shit.

It has made a SHIT TON load of $$ too.

Um, I didn't know "The Avengers" has already been released overseas!

I was saying last night that I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a movie. ISTG, it's like waiting for Christmas morning as a kid.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Um, I didn't know "The Avengers" has already been released overseas! Holy shit.

Emmett was complaining bitterly about this.

$178.4 million already. I don't think it will have that much trouble raking in $800 million, and could break the billion mark.

I am *way* more excited about Dark Knight. I am looking forward to seeing the movie Friday night tho!

I'm excited about DKR, but Avengers just looks like it's going to be so goddamn much fun, I can't stand it. Plus, it's like pretty + pretty + pretty + pretty + pretty. And then more pretty.

I think maybe the last movie I was *this* excited about was Spider-Man. Or possibly Spider-Man 2.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

How are you on The Amazing Spider-Man ?

How are you on The Amazing Spider-Man ?

I'm going to see it, and I'm thrilled about the mechanical webshooters [cue Argument About Webshooters And/Or People Who Have A Preference for Canon], but I'm not Avengers-level excited about it.

Dude, next weekend is Avengers, Free Comic Book Day, and Sherlock S2 on PBS (for those of us who didn't already get it via unconventional means). Great weekend, or BEST weekend?

Oooh! Plus, meara will be in town! *Definitely* BEST weekend!

Oh, yes, Sherlock on PBS! I heard a preview a month ago and dashed to the living room because "It's on?? It's on now??" And Hubby gave me the Puzzled Dog Tilted Head look. And it only turned out that Antiques Roadshow was coming on. Sigh.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I vote for BEST weekend. I get an extra paycheck that's not committed to rent or monthly bills, have a date with a cute artist/comics geek that I reconnected with after losing touch last summer (he has since decided that he's definitely bi rather than merely curious), our first real date will be going to see the Avengers on opening night, and then it's Free Comic Book Day, a Cinco De Mayo festival in the park, and a free concert downtown.

ETA: Just got back from The Pirates! Band of Misfits, which was both hilarious and visually stunning. It's the best use of 3-D I've seen since Coraline, and I would highly recommend spending the extra couple of bucks to view it that way.
