'The Killer In Me'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

OH MY GOD SO MUCH FUN.
This way I can find out ahead of time whether or not Chris Hemsworth spends significant shirtless time in it,
The answer to your question is he spends no shirtless time at all.
So hilarious, and such a horror movie for horror movie fans. Don't watch any trailers, don't read any reviews, don't even think you know what's coming, because you're wrong.
What about NOT horror movie fans?
Unfortunately I'm not a horror movie fan.Glad to hear the movie is good though. Hopefully we'll see more non-horror Joss movies in the future. (Beyond Avengers, obviously.)
If you're familiar with basic horror movie tropes, which most people are, that's really enough to appreciate the basic idea and humor. If you don't like watching hapless kids get killed, then it's probably not your thing. It's more of a comedy than a horror movie, but it has it both ways pretty effectively.
Oooh, also, Drew Goddard said that Much Ado About Nothing was DONE (like very recently, Amy didn't even know), and he'd seen it, and it was great, so maybe we'll hear news about a release date soon.
The answer to your question is
Thanks! Matinee viewing it is.
Oh, this is perfect! I was just wondering if anything good was opening next Friday....
Well, you could see The Cabin in the Woods OR you could see The Three Stooges. It's your call.
There is also the new (!) Whit Stillman, Damsels in Distress. Trailer: [link]
Stillman's an acquired taste, but I really liked his comedy-of-manners trilogy, "Last Days of Disco" in particular. I still break out the soundtrack when I'm feeling blah. "Love Train" playing over the closing credit = perfection. This new one looks like it's high on whimsy, so I'll need to be in a right mood for it, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.
