This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Life of Brian has UFOs. Holy Grail has cows being flung out of trebuchets.

Tough call.

The satire in Life of Brian was sharper and more focused. Also, Graham Chapman was sober, and turned in his best performance.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

It pains me to say this, but Tom Scola is also wrong.

I can see the argument that Life of Brian is more relevant, in that crazy religious people who misinterpret Jesus' teachings are still around, versus those who are questing for the Holy Grail.

Maybe the question for me isn't "better", but "funnier."

Tom, have you seen Yellowbeard?

I've seen parts of it, but I don't remember much.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dana, did your DH see Life of Brian first? That's usually the reason why people prefer one Python movie over the other.

Husband says no, he saw Holy Grail first. He says Holy Grail has funny bits, but Life of Brian is consistently funny.

Honestly, I don't even know why we're still married.

Yellowbeard --most of Python is in it, Madeline Kahn, Peter Boyle, Cheech & Chong, I adore that movie.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just realized -- in Catching Fire, if they keep the scene where Katniss "hangs" Seneca Crane, will she have to write his name on the body, or will drawing the beard be enough?
