That's one spunky little girl you've raised. I'm gonna eat her.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

And I was the only one laughing at first! Slow audience!

Another thing I liked was what they did with Watson's wife. Nice twist.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I really couldn't follow that whole bit.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What whole bit?

How the little red book was some sort of cipher for the location money and Mary knew how to decode it and there was money somewhere in pages and they gave it to the Inspector or something?

Sometimes I forget that in the olden days, when you had gobs of money, it could be physically taken away from you!

I just watched Mulholland Dr. For most of the movie, I was like, okay, this is interesting and a little weird, and there are a couple subplots that don't make sense, but I'm generally following the story.

And then.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It was a twist, P-Cow! There's actually a pretty famous article on Salon that explains it if you don't want to fret about it.

I just got back from seeing Hugo in 3D. I liked a lot of it, but I wish the stories of the kid and Milies were better integrated at the end. they sort of became separate stories at some point.

P-C, about Watson's wife: My assumption is that along with getting the red notebook to her, Holmes also told her the key was in the Horticulture book and she was bright enough to decipher it and enlist Lastrad in securing it. I thought it was nice that they gave her something important to do.

I just watched Die Hard for the first time in years, and, damn, that is a fantastic goddamn movie.
