Oooh, JGL, excite me some more. My body is ready.
Sorry, did you want something cogent about the movie? I got nothing but fangirlish glee.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

What she said.
ALWAYS.
In explaining the Knightfall Batman storyline from the comics to Tim (relevant to this thread because that's the storyline in which Bane [aka Tom Hardy] features prominently), I learned via Wikipedia that apparently DC is re-releasing Knightfall in May 2012. What convenient timing! (They're also reissuing No Man's Land, which makes me happy. I fucking love that storyline but I only have volumes 1 and 2. I'm sure 3-5 can be had via internet commerce, but I'm just glad NML is being reissued, period. The introduction of Cassandra Cain, woot!)

There, fixed. (Though Bane is not that sexay. Still. THard.)
Remember how ridiculous and unrealistic lots of folks thought the premise for No Man's Land was at the time? I wonder if they reconsidered after 2005.
I love NML too! Not a huge fan of Knightfall, BUT most of my issues were because Azrael is a giant douche, and as far as I know, he's not in the movie, so good times.
Azrael is a giant douche
Ahahaha. He SO is. Plus his backstory is so weird. I mean, it's far from the weirdest comic-book backstory, but it's still just weird.
After watching the DKR trailer with Tim and commenting on "Bruce Wayne is the 1%," that devolved into a series of jokes that started with "Occupy Wayne Manor" and ended with "Occupy Bruce Wayne's PANTS!"
Which is now what I'm going to think of the movie as: The Dark Knight Rises: Occupy Bruce Wayne's PANTS.
And given that Selina appears to be on Team Occupy (Bruce Wayne's PANTS), I think she'll get the Dark Knight to rise.
Well done, P-C. Well done.
