Jayne: We was just about to spring into action, Captain. Complicated escape and rescue op. Wash: I was going to watch. It was very exciting.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The TKDR trailer was awesome.

Oh, god, yes. Though I hope they do something about Bane's voice. I usually don't have problems with clarity, but he might take some paying attention to.

We also had the Hunger Games trailer, and I'm afraid I elbowed Polgara pretty hard when I worked out what it was. Also very exciting.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Aw, I was hoping we'd get that. I wanted to see it all big.

Yeah, I couldn't understand a thing he said, and that seems to be a universal reaction. Sounds like a trip to the ADR studio is in order. Or fancy-schmancy digital processing.

I understood him, but I felt like it was because I knew to pay attention to him because I'd heard he'd be hard to parse. I don't think I can (or want to) hold that up for an entire movie. You know, one with other people.

But he did look really cool.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Aw we didn't get the Hunger Games trailer.

Yeah, Bane was hard to understand. Something mumble mumble die mumble.

I do love a good football field implosion.

I didn't know I wanted that until I saw it, but now I'm convinced it should happen more often.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously.

I may have liked this Holmes movie more than the first one. IIRC, the first one basically made no sense at all at the end, right? Anyway, I definitely liked it, and definitely thought of Steph.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought the first one was more mysterious, and had the benefit of being surprisingly funny and exciting, whereas with this one, a bar had already been set.

So I get when people are wondering where the sort of genius Holmes they're used to has gone, because this Holmes doesn't really demonstrate much long game (not that he's dumb--just that all the brilliance is about things happening in the short term).

However, I do adore the competence of Watson, both physically and mentally. I will always sideeye people who defend the Rathbone Holmes *too* much, just because he was such a buffoon.

Also! Stephen Fry! (Whose character apparently needs to have the benefits of heterosexuality explained to him, despite also being a genius)
