I'm impressed with how much gayer Game of Shadows is than the original Sherlock Holmes, Way to up an ante, man.
I liked it. Not as much as the first one, but it certainly wasn't the level of Iron Man -> Iron Man 2 disappointment. It was more emotional than the first, and more explosive, but less mysterious. Also, more depressing.
But still amusing and charming. Good chemistry between the leads, and lovely set dressing and costuming.
I think I'm in the minority in liking how Ritchie does action, but I think the way he shifts time and focus is really evocative of the distorting effects of adrenaline to me, and I find myself more on the edge of my seat as a result.
The gimmick of talking through fight scenes to come is used again here, but I think it was both used too much and better, simultaneously. I get it. You're playing with it some, but I get it, thanks.

Hmmm. I can live with that. Iron Man 2 didn't make me sad like Spider-Man 3, but I also didn't buy the DVD (unlike Iron Man, which I think I bought the day the DVD was released).

Saw SH2 today, and yeah, that was super-gay. I enjoyed it, but mostly because I find RDJ endlessly charming. I mostly can't stand Guy Ritchie's movies, but the Sherlock Holmes movies are exceptions.
Despite the good press, I just can't go see a Tom Cruise movie, though I will re-watch Minority Report now and again.
The TKDR trailer was awesome.

Oh, god, yes. Though I hope they do something about Bane's voice. I usually don't have problems with clarity, but he might take some paying attention to.
We also had the Hunger Games trailer, and I'm afraid I elbowed Polgara pretty hard when I worked out what it was. Also very exciting.
Aw, I was hoping we'd get that. I wanted to see it all big.

Yeah, I couldn't understand a thing he said, and that seems to be a universal reaction. Sounds like a trip to the ADR studio is in order. Or fancy-schmancy digital processing.
I understood him, but I felt like it was because I knew to pay attention to him because I'd heard he'd be hard to parse. I don't think I can (or want to) hold that up for an entire movie. You know, one with other people.
But he did look really cool.
Aw we didn't get the Hunger Games trailer.
Yeah, Bane was hard to understand. Something mumble mumble die mumble.
I do love a good
football field implosion.
I didn't know I wanted that until I saw it, but now I'm convinced it should happen more often.
