"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Right?

I was so disappointed with the first film. I was jazzed and ready to go. I love SH and this film was not worth it.

Because books.

RDJ isn't really Holmes to me in the first movie, but I didn't care because he's ... RDJ. I'm easily pleased by him.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

wrod. Sometimes I still feel proud of him for pulling his life together so much. Which is stupid, cause, hello? Stranger!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's their business to make us care disproportionately. He's pretty good at that. And it sure beats being pissed off at/disgusted by people like La Lohan or Winning!Sheen who can't get their arse out of the drugs, and just keep sinking past rock bottom every time you look.

God bless a recovery story for a change.

Yeah. I cordially loathe Mel Gibson, but I think it's kind of awesome the way RDJ is sticking up for him, because Gibson helped him out when he was in a hole.

I would feel better about Gibson if I thought he was aware he was in a hole and was actually trying to climb out, but he and Charlie Sheen appear to be in adjacent pits that they dug for themselves...

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Yeah, I hoped he would, but it looked like a long shot there for a while.

It's weird (okay, maybe not), but I never had any ill wishes towards RDJ. Cruise and Gibson and Sheen have gone that extra mile to make themselves so fucking unsympathetic as well as falling down holes, that I could care less if they ever clean up their respective acts.

But RDJ? I was rooting for.

I was also rooting for LiLo, but fuck, I'm tired of that.

She seems quite determined to be a mess. But then, Drew Barrymore was too.

Me, too. And none of his behavior was ever *for* the public, as far as I recall, the way Sheen's has been.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I feel like RDJ would go away when he was really fucked up, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.
