Yeah, where they're not the personality, but they are the character. Someone is citing them as not good actors, merely film stars. Whereas I think Jackson and De Niro earned star, and Pitt leavened it.

De Niro: isn't Taxi Drive the iconic De Niro film? Or is that not good because it was more a star turn?

Brad Pitt was amazing in "Tree of Life". I easily forgot I was watching Brad Pitt.

DeNiro is great in some of his quieter movies, too, like Stanley and Iris and Awakenings.
