Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
I really liked the books. All that endless social criticism and dissection of the inner workings of the Swedish government was interesting to me. But I am all nerdy like that.

I would probably like it too--probably squares with my Wirefiend instincts.(David Simon got called "Nonfiction Boy" when he first started on H:LOTS for similar tendencies.) But I usually read at night now and I'm not taking those thoughts to bed with me. If you're scoring at home. Or if you're alone.

So I have not read the first book, but saw all 3 Swedish movies. The 2nd movie was the worst of the 3. I kind of think the first movie was the best of the 3. The 3rd made a very nice wrap up.
I have said before that this trilogy (like Hunger Games), the second and third books are really one book. Regardless, the author needed a really good editor.
The 3rd book is a crazy page turner. I agree with erika who liked the details about the Swedish government. I liked that shit too. Really different than how things would have gone down in the US if something similar had happened.

I think I'd agree, but there have been many NF under the bridge...I think I watched it around Christmas last year. The year before that was Generation Kill...I swear I didn't try for that...maybe my subconscious was all "Bah, humbug, motherfucker!"

The second and third movies are not good, but that probably has a lot to do with the fact that it's a miniseries that was edited for theatrical release as a trilogy. David Fincher is enough to get me to see his version, even having seen the originals.
