Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm sorry, but I NEED THOSE.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Having seen her in action, I like her as Katniss.

There's...a lot of plot in that trailer.

ita !, I really hope that those people have not read the books, because, if they have, they COMPLETELY MISSED THE POINT.

I would not object to a thread, but I don't know if we'd need one, either.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

The tie-in makes me go "bzuh?", but some of the colors make me go grabby-hands.

Man, the pin/logo is going to be on EVERYTHING, isn't it?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Effie is totally creepier than I expected too, but I like it!

I saw Battle Royale, and Hunger Games has nothing in common with it besides the kids-killing-each-other-in-an-arena thing.

There's...a lot of plot in that trailer.

There is! And it doesn't even get to the arena! Must be designed to pull in people who haven't read the books...and make us all salivate in anticipation for the next trailer, which will be much more action-packed.

Also, I love that they didn't play up the love triangle stuff. Gale and Peeta weren't portrayed as romantic interests, just dudes Katniss knows. Also, now that I've heard them talk, they seem all right.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Doctor Who movie confirmed.

Yates made clear that his movie adaptation would not follow on from the current TV series, but would take a completely fresh approach to the material.

Uh, don't do that?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

That's pretty much what the '60s films did (and the Peter Cushing Doctor is not counted amongst all the other Doctors). I'm sure I wouldn't go see a DW film in the theater unless it got rave reviews, although I probably would see it on tv (as its rightful medium).

Woe to the fucking wicked.

t blinks real hard

What is the point of making it a Doctor Who thing if you're not going to be in continuity. It's not like it's the only franchise with a time-traveler. This is going to be like Constantine, isn't it?

Breakdown of Hunger Games trailer. Probably spoilery if you haven't read the books.

That breakdown is kinda fun. But every time I see just a picture of Rue, I tear up. This is going to be a hard movie to get through.

To me, almost everything looks just as I imagined it. I think it's going to be stunning.
