Anna Faris is in stoner comedies. And she dated Eric from Entourage, but she played "Anna Faris"

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Anna Faris was in Lost in Translation. She played the vapid movie star. She was also in all the Scary Movies (are those stoner comedies? I guess so, to some extent.)
Sorta, but I wasn't thinking of them.
I thought her breakthrough role was in The House Bunny?

That was Anna Faris? She was really good as a vapid movie star! (I thought she was meant to be a thinly disguised Cameron Diaz.)
I hated Lost In Translation so much I don't really remember much about it. I haven't seen any of the other movies discussed.
Many of the trailers we saw were absolutely appalling. If you judge a movie by the previews it keeps, thumbs down.
However, Harold & Kumar 3 not only looked great, but I'll happily watch in 3D.

That's exactly who she was playing, according to rumor.

Marlon Wayans's character was rarely seen without a lit blunt throughout the first two, so I'm assuming yes.
Anna Faris is married to Chris Pratt (Andy from Parks & Rec). Adorable! (I've never actually seen her in a movie so that's all I got.)
I love Anna Faris - she's completely fearless and it makes her a fantastic comic actress.
DH and I saw Ides of March yesterday, and I left the theatre feeling very confused. It wasn't a bad movie, but I have no idea why it was made. If Primary Colors and The Social Network had a baby, this would be the offspring. Excellent performances all around, and a few really good scenes, but...why tell this story?
