It's an odd color - - it just looks wrong.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
It's plastic, and there are no red underpants. Just wrong. That costume is iconic, dammit.
I'm not as concerned about the red undies as I thought I'd be when I started seeing headlines. I'm DEEPLY dismayed by the icky goosebumpy texture.
That just looks so wrong.
I suppose it can still be saved by good writing (I'm assuming decent acting from Cavill is a given), but the director and art director's failure to appreciate the iconic appearance of the character does not fill me with confidence.
Just watched Limitless, which was great. Bradley Cooper was really good, and I dug the visual style and score. Plus, bonus Anna Friel! I was surprised by De Niro's role, though. That didn't seem to warrant a De Niro. Of course, it didn't help that the trailers were entirely misleading.
I totally disagree with him about Salma, but have to agree about Keanu.
I loved Salma in Frida and thought she was the best thing in the movie and it was not because of how she looked. I thought she was a better actor than Doc Ock and he's usually the one people fawn over.
Comparing the careers of Salma Hayek and Keanu Reeves.
That article pisses me off pretty badly, and I'm not even really a Hayek fan. Maybe if the author could have dragged his eyes away from her boobies, he might have noticed some acting going on.
