Just watched Limitless, which was great. Bradley Cooper was really good, and I dug the visual style and score. Plus, bonus Anna Friel! I was surprised by De Niro's role, though. That didn't seem to warrant a De Niro. Of course, it didn't help that the trailers were entirely misleading.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I totally disagree with him about Salma, but have to agree about Keanu.
I loved Salma in Frida and thought she was the best thing in the movie and it was not because of how she looked. I thought she was a better actor than Doc Ock and he's usually the one people fawn over.
Comparing the careers of Salma Hayek and Keanu Reeves.
That article pisses me off pretty badly, and I'm not even really a Hayek fan. Maybe if the author could have dragged his eyes away from her boobies, he might have noticed some acting going on.
I saw The Debt last night, and it was GREAT. But almost more exciting was seeing mostly new trailers for movies I hadn't heard of! YAY FALL MOVIES!
I watched about half of Bunraku last night. It probably wasn't the strangest movie I've ever seen, but it's right up there. I didn't bother staying up for the whole thing because I realized that no matter how it ended it still wouldn't make any sense.
Eff Christopher Nolan.
What'd he do?
I finally saw "Pi" the other day. Odd movie.
I just watched Inception.
