I feel like I should see the movie again when I'm not stupid tired. I don't remember half of what you guys are talking about. I may like it better when I'm fully conscious.
I
did
like
Captain America
better when I was fully conscious! Turns out I kind of slept through
most of the rescue scene,
so I had no idea
who the Howling Commandos were
and I had no idea
what the hell was going on in the latter half of the movie because I missed the part where Cap saw the map of the other Hydra outposts.
It sure does improve the movie experience to be awake!
One thing I appreciated on a rewatch was the very first scene
after Steve gets the serum. When he's chasing after the guy, you can really tell that he's a little guy in a big guy's body. He doesn't know how to move with this strength: when he leaps over the fence, you can see that his hands are out because he expected to grab the top and pull himself over.
When I was 13 I would have known that spend the night means sex. (And again does not mean I would have been capable of giving meaningful consent. I would not have thought about the possibility of pregnancy or disease, or how deep trouble I could get in or the woman could get in. ) And I know people vary on this. But I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who was interested in sex at 13.
Apparently Laurence Fishburne will be the new Perry White.
I saw that last night. Don't read the comments.
Are they worse than the new Spider-Man ones? It's fucking Morpheus, dudes.
I was interested in sex at 13 but when presented with the opportunity I ran. But yeah I'm female.
I am going to print out "don't read the comments" and paste it across the top of my screen.
Not worse than those, no. Of course, someone did make the excellent point that his name is Perry WHITE.
I wonder if it wasn't a grow up's vision of a child's fantasy. Are boys that young seriously and practically interested in sex?
From what I remember of middle school, yes.
Crazy, Stupid Love
was really great. I loved it.
They've found the first thirty minutes of Alfred Hitchcock's first credited film (he was the writer, editor, AD) in an archive in New Zealand. Also discovered there were a film by an early female director and a fragment of a lost 1914 Keystone Kops short.
