Wait, do you people really hate mechanical webshooters or something?
No, they hate the organic web-shooter because it's not only Not Canon, it deprives Peter Parker of his one claim to scientific genius.
Disliking this upcoming movie is entirely separate.
Right, but I can only assume it has to do with what Laga edited out because otherwise I am very confused.
I made a horrible comment that has nothing to do with the movie Amazing Spider-Man because I have no knowledge of the actual content of the movie.
I should have thought twice about where I was before clicking "post"
I think people are annoyed by reboots in general. I know I was but seeing the trailer (and especially footage from comic con) has piqued my interest.
I don't get the dislike for the movie. I'm interested in it, because (1) no Tobey Maguire; (2) organic webshooters (because, really, is there something WRONG with having a preference for canon? and if so, why?); (3) more Spider-Man, woo!; (4) I'm assuming no horrific, mind-scarring Spidey-dance.
Also, I have no problem with Gwen Stacy.
I'm interested in it because I like the cast and director and also because we'll FINALLY get to see the goddamn Lizard. The trailer didn't blow me away, and the POV shots look silly (but I'll admit they make me want to see the movie in 3D because it will be like
Spider-Man: The Ride
), but I'm cautiously optimistic.
I had a very limited viewpoint of Gwen. Not a dislike for the character, more a misguided attachment to canon. And now that I've done a little more research I feel even worse about what I said. Gah has she been abused.
I didn't see Laga's comment; I was mostly reacting to the idea (whitefonted 'cause this grosses me out something fierce) of
Peter Parker shooting spider silk out of a zit.
Not something I ever need to see, thanks.
Oh. Well, that doesn't happen in the movie, so you're good.
EW cover with Peeta and Gale (Hunger Games).
So the shot at 1:21 isn't in the movie?
