That's a shame, because something called
Cowboys and Aliens
really should be awesome.
I mentioned liking the flying wing design being included, but the DH thought it was just "a futuristic look from the past."
Then he mentioned liking the Norway bit, since that's where the Nazis did their heavy water work, and I thought it was just to tie in the plot to Thor and The Avengers.
So all in all, good job Marvel.
I will continue to enjoy 3-D at theme parks where it comes in 3 minute doses and when the technology exists to have short sequences of longer 2-D films in 3-D I will try that too. It hurts too much for me to sit through a feature film. I'm glad I saw Coraline but that was my last one.

Right????
I think I have to file this one next to The Prestige in the "movies that aren't actually that bad but were incredibly disappointing when compared to the movie I was hoping they were going to be."

So, apparently, the creator came up with the name first and tried to sell the film rights, even before the comic book was written. Then he bribed comic stores to sell the book below cost, to make it seem like it was more popular than it was.

Huh. That....does not surprise me.
Mainly it was just boring. I wasn't expecting boring.
No! Oh, I'm disappointed. I was planning on it being my Dumb But Fun movie of the summer.
Oh Jessica, I Loved "The Prestige." It was the other magic movie with Jessica Biel that was just so bad. I was disappointed for weeks.
I'm with le nubian. Loved
The Prestige.
Didn't think much of
The Illusionist.
Advance reviews of
Cowboys and Aliens
have been generally positive.

Wow, damn.
I loved The Prestige too. So maybe I will like this.
I loved
The Prestige,
too, although I think a lot of it was the costume/set porn. And, you know, Hugh Jackman.
I didn't mind
The Illusionist
but I never rewatched it.
