I have the song "Pretty Fly" from the movie if anybody needs it posted.
I have never seen the movie (shh, I know) but I believe I have Robert Mitchum singing "Leaning" thanks to Oxford American, if anyone wants it.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

(thanks for linking to that, Tep)
Isn't that awesome???
If I didn't quote this already, this is my favorite part of that LJ entry:
THOR'S UNIVERSITY FRIENDS: [banging on plate glass windows] HIIIIIII! We came to visit! HI THOR WHAT IS GOING ON HI!
THOR: [turns around] OMG HAAAAAAAAI! Dr Natalie Dr Natalie look! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD My friends came OMG YOU GUYS HIIIIIIIIIII!
Also, DAMN I need to see that movie again.
THE GOD OF THUNDER DOES NOT NEED A SHIRT.
This is why they need to make another Hercules movie, since technically he also does not need pants.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo red band trailer leaked.
Oh! I had that in the theater last night.
I just watched City of God. Damn, that's a great movie.
And then I watched another movie set in Rio de Janeiro: Fast Five. Which was awesome! It's like Ocean's Eleven with fast cars and only one white dude. I love how the team comprised characters from all four previous movies. Although, damn, I barely remember what happened in the last one. I want to have a marathon now. Bring on number six!
(Do not see this movie if you cannot stand car chases with collateral damage because HOLY SHIT.)
Official Hobbit press release. Mark your calendars.
I think I enjoyed Fast Five more than any of the franchise, perhaps even the original. But, yeah, collateral damage up the wazoo. No deaths confirmed, but they had to happen.

I agree. It's easily the best since the original, and it may even be better. It's like they figured out everything that worked about the franchise and distilled it down to AWESOME. What does a Fast and the Furious heist movie look like? Well, it surely ends with A GIANT SAFE BEING TOWED DOWN THE STREETS OF RIO DE JANEIRO.

"Did you guys just take out a bank?" Heh.
I like how there's even offscreen drag races (not really spoilery). I mean, they figure they know you know how they work, so take it as written, and they'll save the petrol for a more amazing stunt, which, but the way, is REALLY FUCKING BIG.
That was kind of disappointingly hilarious. It's like, come on, you know they're going to win, we don't really need to show you; we'll save our drag race scene for when it really matters.
