I'm just trying to tell you that we have nothing in common besides both of us liking your penis.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Yeah, I had figured I'd see it but between the review comparing it to eating maggot-infested food and the one saying "I even defended the third movie but ugh,"...I think I'll pass.

So now I'm sad since it was the only summer movie I had much interest in.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Pirates is getting terrible reviews. It apparently commits the sin of being pretty boring.

I'm not even looking at reviews. I know I am going to go see it, and the shallow part of my brain will be all ::clappyhands:: at Johnny Depp and Geoffry Rush being pirates again. The shallow part of my brain is really, really easy to please.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Our friend Andy, who we see every week with his wife Heather for our couples movie-or-theater hang, had an interview today WITH JJ ABRAMS TO BE PROPMASTER ON THE NEW STAR TREK MOVIE!!!1!! Andy is calm about this, while Jason and I are geeking out like mad things. We have informed him in no uncertain terms that he HAS TO get this job, not because it would be good for his career or to help support his wife and two children, but because we want to be able to come to the set and sit on the bridge.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

OMG, I would just die if I knew someone who worked on Star Trek. I'd be calling in all the favors I could.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Colin auditioned for Tom Hardy's role on Nemesis. He was never gonna get it, but I let myself dream for a second.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The shallow part of my brain is remarkably similar to the shallow part of Jilli's brain.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm waiting for Cowboys and Aliens. That better not suck.

That better not suck.

I suspect even if it does, I'll go see it anyway: it's got Indiana Jones and James Bond, with horses and six-shooters. And aliens! The only thing it's missing is maybe zombies.
