Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I quite liked her in Bond, but yeah, the eye make-up was frightful. She's a lovely girl -- I remember being struck dumb at how pretty she was when her character came out of the bathroom with her face scrubbed fresh and clean and smiled at D. Craig.

My dad's coming up on Sunday, and he wants to go out to a movie, my choice. I always like to take his tastes into account, so seeing The King's Speech again is most likely out. However, I've been hearing some good things about Sanctum, the new Cameron diving movie--anyone seen it yet? We'd probably go see it in 2D, since the 3D theatre is further out. Dad likes adventure movies but not unbearably stupid ones, so The Mechanic isn't on the list (for both of our sakes!).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The Mechanic wasn't unbearably stupid.

Really? Was it a decent entertainment? We don't mind popcorn flicks, so we're not looking for Shakespeare, but fun is always a good thing.

I'd just been reading some pretty bad reviews of it.

Willie Waffle gave it half a waffle and he's usually pretty good. Said it was trite, boring and hackneyed. The half a waffle was for the 3D at the beginning of the movie. It gets crappy over the course of the film and too dark.

I had a lot of fun. Of course, it hit plenty of my kinks, but it was supremely violent and pleasantly dark.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It has a higher RT rating than Sanctum.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I've heard excellent reviews for The Mechanic. Granted, they've mostly been from Patton Oswalt, but still.

Tim, do good work on Dark Shadows, okay? Please? Snap out of whatever stage you were in during Alice In Wonderland.
