'Beneath You'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Ha! I made that same comment to my wife the other day while we were watching Rio Bravo.
I gotta say that-
"No, they're trying to fly that tank."
Is my favorite Jessica Biel line of all time.
It's a pretty good line.
I just watched Psycho Beach Party. Good silly fun! Oh, Lauren Ambrose. I love you more now.
When the FUCK did IFC start having commercials during the movies?!?!??! This is how AMC and Bravo went to, well, not exactly shit, but being NOT WHAT THEY WERE! IFC was the Bravo replacement, Goddammit!
Then again, I remember when Cinemax was the artsy channel rather than being Skinemax.
I think Sundance is still ad-free.
TCM is still commercial free thank goodness.
Featurette on the CGI in Black Swan. I didn't see it, and now I don't want to. It looks hella creepy.
I'm assuming The Eagle sucks, and that's why there's so little advance press for it. Surely this is a movie that should have been being marketed to me? All I've seen is the trailer, twice, and it was an entirely too talky trailer that seemed to give away a large plot development.

Thanks for the link! I really liked the use of CGI in that movie, so it was neat to see how it was done.

I suspect so. Pity, since the source novel (Eagle of the Ninth) is one of my favorites from childhood. It's the sort of thing that deserves a short miniseries, really.
