As I said on Twitter, as much fun as Tron Legacy was, I understand now how most people feel about the Matrix sequels. I still think you're all crazy and wrongheaded, but I get now where the hate and eye-rolling come from.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Because... they... don't hate them enough? Is that it? Help me to understand!
The Matrix didn't have any sequels.

Oh! I know this one, Alex! It's "What does The Matrix have in common with The Highlander?", isn't it?
Crazy. And. Wrongheaded. All of you.
Keanu = love, not hate.
And as I said on FB, I loved Burlesque with every speck of glitter in my soul.

So you're saying that Glitter left a stain in your soul that won't come off?
I saw the movie created to push all of my "like" buttons, The King's Speech, and it was AWESOME. Colin Firth = sexy oscarbait; Script = literate and involving, period details = heavenly.
The lack of caps was intentional. Never seen Glitter, plan to keep it that way. Burlesque was awesome in several ways. Dancing, singing, costumes, makeup, and sistas doing it for themselves. Plus, Tucci was delightful, Cher and Christina were divatastic, and Cam Gigandet was good enough eye candy for me.
