You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Parrot in the movie

Ahh that's what D said. I thought I remembered it was black.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

As is, I'm sure, no surprise to anyone, I have my tickets, my new Hufflepuff t-shirt and Hufflepuff scarf all set to go for Thursday night.

Right now, Emeline and I are nursing some ick so we're watching Toy Story 3 for the first time. I predict tears.

I finally watched it last night. There were many tears. And The Bear came down from the shelf for sleeping.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Saw Morning Glory last night. I really enjoyed it. Unlike a lot of romantic comedies, the main character is a woman I genuinely recognize as a human being. It's a comedy, so she's a bit exaggerated, but she's smart, funny, competent and passionate about her work. And it does a great job of showing us what she does and why she loves it. Supporting cast is great as well.

Total smart, charming fun.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

On Friday when Dylan was sick I successfully introduced him to pre-Elmo Muppets! His favorite Muppet Movie character is Sweetums and at some point I'll have to get his plot synopsis on video because it is adorable. ("It's about a frog who has a banjo and he sings about rainbows. And then a man in a boat comes and there's an alligator too.")

I've promised him we can watch it again today while I give him a haircut.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

There was out and out sobbing. I admit it was me. Emeline was okay once the toys got out of the incinerator. I lost it when Andy was playing with Bonnie. Paddington was immediately fetched and has been watching "Bones" with me today.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

FWIW, Rotten Tomatoes is giving Skyline 10/100... compare this to the 63/100 they're giving Jackass 3D.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Saw Unstoppable this weekend and really enjoyed it. It's relatively simplistic, based on a true story and you kind of know more or less what's going to happen, but they did a great job of ramping up the suspense throughout the movie and the characters came across as really likable. Great chemistry between Washington and Pine. Rosario Dawson really shone as the yard master, major BAMF points to her!
