I opted for You Again instead yesterday as I wanted to hold Red in reserve as a potential date movie. It was mostly predictable and had the requisite sappy ending , but Sigourney Weaver is always worth watching. (Sadly, Victor Garber was not, so I have to strike him off the Can Do No Wrong list.)
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
oh no!
I loved Red. Helen Mirren and big damn guns? Hell to the yeah. John Malkovich being all crazified? Oh, yeah. Bruce Willis being badass? Never say die. Even Morgan Freeman getting his licks in! And of course, the ever urbane Karl Urban in a suit for 90% of the movie. I should have taken a drool bucket.
I support all of these statements.
Wait a minute...Karl Urban is in Red? I simply must see it now!
He is BURNING HOT SEXY SEX in it, I have to say. I mean, if I noticed such things.
RED is on my list to see, for sure.
I'm taking afternoons off of work twice this week--I might just stop by the AMC for a matinee showing tomorrow.
Apparently Kaya Scodelario and Lyndsy Fonseca have been sent the Hunger Games script. Chloe Moretz also comes up in rumours, but you know, Chloe Moretz. Of course she does.
Lyndsy Fonseca (who spells her name wrong, grr) looks more like Katniss to me.
