Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

Nolan did well enough by me with Bale in the first one, so I have my hopes.

OK, so if Yoda was originally named Buffy, and Buffy was originally named Rhonda, in some alternate universe do we get the quote "Help me Rhonda?"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Help help me Yoda! Help me get her out of my heart!

Or maybe like:

Paramount is making serious progression on a sequel to Top Gun, the 1986 film that singlehandedly won the Cold War through its depiction of dramatic dogfights and homoerotic volleyball sequences.

Yeah, the Soviets realized that to compete with the homoeroticism of Top Gun would be so expensive it'd wreck their economy.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I saw the new animated film from the guy who did Triplets of Belleville last night, based on an unproduced script by Jacques Tati. (The Illusionist)

Every part of it is beautifully done, and for one of the more depressing films I've ever seen, it also has a wonderful lightness about it.

The other really fun part was that DH and I had the Sony screening room completely to ourselves, which has never happened before. (The projectionist even waited to start so I could run to the restroom one last time.) It's a shame more people didn't RSVP to this screening, but DH and I took advantage by stretching out on the big sofa in the back and pretending it was our living room.
