So that's my dream. That and some stuff about cigars and a tunnel.

Spoiler font: start a new line with an "s", leave a space. Spoiler font ends with a line break.

It would be nice to spoiler-font the guesses, so as not to, um, spoil the film for others.

The tapes with Turkish flag:....

It's the Algerian flag, but I think you're absolutely right (and Algeria makes it even righter, n'est-ce pas?).

Ooooh, Edward Scissorhands - good one. Also, Blair Witch (I knew those stupid sticks reminded me of something, just wasn't sure what).

Where are you getting Back to the Future, Jars? Is it the burning lines (tyre-tracks?). Nice one.

ETA: ita beat me to it re spoilerfont.

Thanks, Sue and ita! Since I didn't spoilerfont my post right in the first place, if I went back and fixed it now, it would make those who didn't spoilerfont after me appear to be outside of the norm. So I'll take my lumps and leave the post as is.

I think you may be right, Sue. I wasn't too happy with my original choice because it's not a view you have in the actual movie, whereas in yours, you do.

Jars - Sep 23, 2010 4:23:15 am PDT #11258 of 30000

Oops, I left spoilerfont out of my last batch as I was typing it in a word document to copy and paste so it would look less suspicious from across the office. Fixed now.

Might the crosses be the Life of Brian?

Fiona - Sep 23, 2010 4:23:49 am PDT #11259 of 30000

Corwood, you could go ahead. Everyone else has spoilerfonted now.

Right! Also, pre-caffeinated. And thanks for the spoiler font info to you, too.

Also, Sue and I are right about Cherbourg vs. Singin' in the Rain.

OK, fixed now.

Might the Bond movie be Goldfinger ? Sort of the right colour.

Still not getting the moustache though. And what is that thing on top of it, the one with the Soviet star?

Fiona:

Goldfinger works for me on the Bond.

and

In the not-so-good film Gorky Park, William Hurt has that moustache and wears that hat. However, Jars suggested Dr. Zhivago, which is a better choice.
